Yesterday we helped Roselin Osser with some new headshots and photos for her website. Befitting a classical singer, Rosie has a classic look - something I tried to emphasize in her pictures. A mezzo-soprano, she performs in operas and concerts in Boston and throughout New England. Praised for her comic timing, Osser has particularly excelled in character roles including Satirino in Cavalli's La Calisto, Mad Margaret in Gilbert & Sullivan's Ruddigore, and a wicked stepsister in both Rossini’s La Cenerentola and Massenet’s Cendrillon. This past November, she performed the role of Rosina in Rossini's Barber of Seville in her debut with Longwood Opera. Committed to environmental conservation, Osser completed degrees in engineering in parallel to her vocal studies. She now works as a consulting engineer in the field of green building design while continuing to perform throughout New England.
